Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself.
Before you delete
- Export your data. See Exporting your data.
- If you are the only commissioner, deleting your account may delete the league. Transfer the league to another commissioner first, if you want it to continue.
- Subscriptions: cancel from billing settings to stop renewal. Deleting an account does not by itself issue a refund. See the Refund Policy.
How
Open your account settings and choose Delete account. Confirm. You will get an email confirmation.
What happens
- Your personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days.
- Encrypted backups age out within 90 days.
- We keep records we must keep for tax, legal and fraud-prevention reasons.
- We keep your text opt-out so we keep honoring it.
- Other golfers' records in leagues that continue may stay under the commissioner's control. Ask privacy@gimmeleague.com to remove yours.
Golfers and juniors
A golfer can delete their account without deleting the league. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a junior's information at privacy@gimmeleague.com.
