How this schedule works
The pairings come from the circle method. Each week the teams are paired off so that nobody faces the same opponent twice until every team has played every other team. The 7 teams below are called Team 1 to Team 7; swap in your own names in the generator.
The default settings here are 7 weeks, no position rounds, and the league alternating nines. The whole league plays the front nine in odd weeks and the back nine in even weeks. Because each team sits out one week, a team plays the front nine 3 or 4 times and the back nine 2 or 3 times.
Each week's 3 matches are spread across 3 tee time slots, with slot 1 the earliest. Over the season, no team's count for one tee time slot is more than 2 above its count for another.

7 weeks. With 7 teams, each team plays 6 matches, one against every other team, and has one bye week.
How many matches are played in a 7 team league?
21 matches over one full round robin: 3 matches a week for 7 weeks. The odd team out each week has a bye.
What if our season is longer or shorter than 7 weeks?
A shorter season is a partial round robin, and nobody plays the same opponent twice. A longer season repeats the same 7 weeks of pairings, so after 14 weeks every team has played every other team twice.
How are tee times and nines handled?
The generator spreads each week's matches over 3 tee time slots and balances them over the season: no team's count for one tee time slot is more than 2 above its count for another. Nines can alternate, stay on the front or back, or split the matches between both. This page uses alternating nines.
Can I use this for 7 individual golfers instead of teams?
Yes. In the generator choose individual golfers. Each golfer plays one opponent per week, the same way a team would.
