How an open spot gets filled

A golfer taps “can’t make it.” The commissioner is told, and with texting turned on the sub pool is contacted one at a time in the order the commissioner set, until a sub accepts. The commissioner can also pick a sub by hand.

Fair handicaps for subs

A sub plays on the handicap your league rules set. Some leagues use the sub’s own league handicap, some use the handicap of the golfer they replace, and some use a fixed number. It is a setting, so it is applied the same way every week.

  • A sub can be invited by text or email and does not need an account to be added
  • Texting the pool is part of League Pro and Course. League plans can still manage the pool and pick subs by hand

How does Gimme find a sub?

The commissioner keeps a pool of subs in priority order. With texting on League Pro or Course, Gimme texts them one at a time until someone accepts.

Do subs need an account?

No. A sub can be added with a name, a phone number or an email address, and can reply to a text.

What handicap does a sub play on?

Whatever your league rules say: their own league handicap, the handicap of the golfer they replace, or a set number.

Can a golfer mark themselves out?

Yes. Golfers can mark themselves out from their phone, and the commissioner sees it right away.

Does texting cost extra?

Texting is included in League Pro at $299 per season and in the Course plan. There are no per-golfer fees.
